Sustainability 🌍
"Act as if you love the future" 🪻
To me, this sentence perfectly captures what it means to be sustainable. So let’s wander a little deeper — into the story of how our pole wear cherishes the earth, celebrates the people behind each stitch, and dances gently with tomorrow.
SUSTAINABLE POLEWEAR 🩱
What is the best fabric to create a truly sustainable bodysuit ?
That's the very question that started this entire project. Before I had a design in mind, or even a brand name, I spent weeks researching different sustainable fabric options for polewear and aerialwear.
Finding ECONYL® regenerated nylon felt like an answer to my prayers. Produced by the Italian company Aquafil, the ECONYL® fiber is incredibly innovative, has a very low environmental impact, and embodies the circular economy ♻️.
(And the circular economy is, I believe, the future of fashion - whether our society is ready to acknowledge it or not is another question…. But ultimately, that's where we're headed : a world where materials are reused and regenerated instead of thrown away !)
I fell in love with ECONYL® yarn for 2 reasons :
1- It is made by using nylon waste, such as fishing nets, carpets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic. No new plastic is added to the Earth (God knows our planet is already drowning in it !!). Instead, existing waste is being transformed 🌿.
Furthermore, nylon is more durable and softer to the touch than other activewear fabrics such as polyester, making the product even more sustainable and premium ✨.
2- Through an innovative process, used and discarded nylon can be "regenerated". Why do I say "regenerated", and not "recycled"? Because the regeneration process doesn't reduce the nylon's quality. In many cases, recycling polyester and cotton lowers a garment's quality - meaning you can only can them so many times. But the company we work with has found a way to restore nylon to its original purity over and over again. How many times ? Literally endlessly ♾️

ETHICAL POLEWEAR 🤝🌍
Clothes don't only have an environmental impact, they also have human one. Literally every garment you own, from your underwear to your T-shirts, have been made by a human being. It's actually impossible to create clothing without the intervention of a skilled worker sewing fabrics together ! 🧵✂️
Fast fashion working conditions are often horrifying, from the unsafe environments to the working hours and the poverty-level wages.
